Turf Star Western-Irrigation Field Service Technician

About the Job:
The purpose of the Irrigation Field Service Tech is to provide world-class service and training creating loyal customers within the Northern California territory on all Toro irrigation systems. The Irrigation Field Service Tech will also provide technical support for territory sales managers.  
We also look for candidates that can represent Turf Star Western in a professional and ethical manner when dealing with both customers and internal staff. Strong communication skills are essential.


Essential job functions:
·      Willing to accept training and ability to apply the training.
·      Both Internal and Customer communication skills are imperatives.
·      See repairs are completed within the ascribed time and with a high degree of quality workmanship.
·      Works within a structured appointment schedule; however, has the flexibility to change when schedule changes are necessary.
·      Demonstrate a professional demeanor in all situations.
·      Ensure service repair orders and other administrative tasks are processed in an accurate, daily and timely fashion.
·      Work closely with the Regional Service Manager to grow and improve both external and internal customer satisfaction.
·      This is an active position. The candidate must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and be able to lift 75 lbs. with assistance.


Job Qualifications:
·      Ideal applicant must live in Northern California.
·      Clean Motor Vehicle Record.
·      Desire to achieve a proven successful repair experience on Toro irrigation systems.
·      Desire to achieve proficiency with Toro irrigation systems technical repair and support.
·      Desire to become proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
·      Excellent Communication Skills.
·      Bi-lingual in Spanish, a definite plus.
·      Professional demeanor.
·      A willingness to develop and grow.
·      Specialty tools for the industry will be provided as needed.


Compensation/Benefits:
·      Hourly wage based upon qualifications of the selected candidate.
·      $1,500 bonus for successful job performance in the first 90 days.
·      $1,500 bonus for successful job performance in the first 180 days.
·      Paid 2 times a month.
·      Full Time.
·      Non-Exempt.
·      Personal Time Off (aka PTO).
·      Benefit Package including Medical/Dental/Vision/Life, etc.
·      401(k) Plan.

Sierra Pacific Turf Supply is a small family-owned business in the golf & landscape industry headquartered in Campbell, CA. We are looking for a Specialized Equipment Sales Representative to present, promote and sell specialized equipment, such as electric power tools and robotic mowers, using solid sales tools to existing and prospective golf, landscape, and sports turf customers. Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Present, promote and sell specialized equipment using solid sales tools to existing and prospective golf, landscape, and sports turf customers
• Service, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment as needed to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Schedule demonstrations with prospective customers
• Map autonomous mowers to provide optimal, systematic, and efficient mowing patterns
• Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
• Reach out to leads through cold calling
• Provide excellent customer service for internal and external customers
• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
• Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
• Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
• Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
.• Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
• Continuously improve through feedback, education, and training
Requirement, Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience in a sales role or account management position
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to meet sales targets and territory growth goals
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
.• Valid Drivers License.
• This position requires travel throughout the territory in Northern California & Northern Nevada
