TURF EQUIPMENT MANAGER

Empire Ranch Golf Club in Folsom California, is looking for an experienced full time Turf Equipment Manager with great attention to detail and cleanliness, to manage and maintain our fleet of Toro Golf Course Equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, carts, engines and hydraulic and mechanical systems. You must have a minimum of 5 years experience with grinding reels, gas/diesel engines, small engines (2&4 stroke), tractor repair, sprayer/pump repair, tire repair, electrical diagnostics & troubleshooting, record keeping and a strong preventative maintenance program. 

$23-$25HR

The Olympic Club in San Francisco is looking for an experienced Equipment Technician who will directly manage three hourly mechanics. The Club is currently on the third year of a four year equipment lease package. Currently under construction is a state-of-the-art, 27,000 square feet maintenance building complex. Scheduled for completion in approximately 11 months, the spacious mechanic work shop will include four lifts; drop-down oil and air bank; dedicated office, restroom, grinding, oil storage and spacious parts rooms. There will be time for the new Equipment Technician to work with the Director of Golf Maintenance on final details within the shop. Duties Include: Supervises and manages the maintenance and repairs of all golf course maintenance equipment and a team of mechanics. Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment and automotive apparatuses. Skilled in the use of a variety of equipment repair tools and the making of various types of mechanical repairs. Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work. Prior management or supervisory experience. Working knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment. Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession. Ability to move heavy objects weighing up to 80 pounds. Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures while repairing equipment. Knowledge of the game of golf and how equipment affects the playing conditions of the golf course. Working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, WORD, Excel and preventive maintenance programs. Possession of a valid CA State Driver’s License. Previous experience repairing and maintaining golf course equipment preferred. Prior experience working in a union environment preferred.
