The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Kings Country Club will be responsible for the daily operation and staff management for one of the premier 18-Hole Private Clubs in Central California. The Assistant Superintendent reports to the Golf Course Superintendent and is accountable for detailed course conditioning, staff development, diligent water management practices, equipment operations, as well as all chemical & fertilizer applications. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: leadership within the golf maintenance operation, daily staff scheduling, staff training that emphasizes intricate attention to details in regards to golf course management and the clubhouse grounds, daily course set up, irrigation repair and maintenance as well as maintaining compliance of all regulatory issues. Job Requirements The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the golf course and grounds facilities maintenance. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent, implement a maintenance schedule that compliments and enhances the membership experience Exhibit a strong attention to details Execute water management programs that ensure firm playing conditions Familiarity with Rainbird Nimbus II central and satellite operations Extensive knowledge of warm season grasses – Bermudagrass on tees, fairways and roughs Experience with Bentgrass/Poa management on greens in hot summer climate Under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent – Coordinates, directs and controls crew activities while in the field; supervises and evaluates the performance of workers; maintains discipline and productivity of crew. Maintain on-going employee safety & training programs Ensure proper calibration of equipment and applications of chemicals and fertilizers Possess or be able to obtain a valid California Pesticide – Qualified Applicator’s Certificate (QAC) within 6 months of employment All aspects of compliance reporting, as assigned. Other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent  Salary and Compensation Package Salary: $70,000  This package also includes:  Golf privileges Food allowance  Uniforms  GCSAA and Central California GCSA Membership Continuing Education Costs   Please send resumes to Joseph Elias, Golf Course Superintendent – [email protected]

Oakdale Golf and Country Club
The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for day-to-day operations, applications,
and reports directly to the superintendent. A self-motivating individual, team leader,
being able to diagnose turf problems, and some mechanical knowledge is necessary
to be an integral part of our agronomy team. The assistant superintendent may serve
in the superintendent’s capacity during their absence. A great opportunity for the

-Cool season experience a plus
-Toro irrigation experience a plus
-Possession of a valid drivers license and clean driving record
-Ability to obtain a Q.A.C. – California pesticide licensing within 90 days
-Knowledge of basic math, spray equipment calibration, safety – oriented
-Plan, organize, manage and supervise daily tasks implemented by the
superintendent.
-Working knowledge of the maintenance of golf course tees, fairways, and greens;
characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers, amendments, herbicides and
pest control methods and materials; irrigation control set up, troubleshooting and
repairs.
-Create a positive, attentive professional service environment on and off the golf
course.
Knowledge of the game of golf and ability to play and participate in events

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,640-72,000 per year
