Oakdale, known as the \u201cCowboy Capital of the World\u201d is a family-oriented semi-rural community, with great schools, and a slower paced lifestyle. The management team at OGCC, including the General Manager, Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, Food &amp; Beverage Director, and Executive Chef, have more than 60 years combined experience at the club, and more than 100 in the golf industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recent course projects and improvements include major tee additions &amp; renovation, renovation of all greenside bunkers, irrigation expansion, greens expansion, and a USGA guided fairway turf conversion plan that includes tree removal and the addition of hybrid Bermuda sod farms. The club is committed to continuous improvement of the golf course while delivering an outstanding member experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The successful candidate will be a visible leader who combines strong agronomic knowledge with practical management skills, a commitment to exceptional playing conditions, and the ability to effectively communicate with members, staff, committees, and club leadership. Leadership<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Attend Greens Committee, and management meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Provide regular written and verbal updates regarding course conditions and projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Communicate effectively with members regarding agronomic practices and course improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Work collaboratively with all club departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Minimum Qualifications Education One of the following is preferred:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Associate&#8217;s Degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, or related field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Turfgrass Science, Agronomy, Plant Science, Horticulture, or related field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Equivalent combination of education and extensive industry experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Minimum 5 years golf course maintenance experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Minimum 2\u20135 years supervisory or Assistant Superintendent experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Experience managing irrigation systems. COMPENSATION (Base + Incentives + Benefits + Professional Development + Expense Reimbursement)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Base Salary Employee shall receive an annual base salary of: $110,000 &#8211; $140,000 D.O.E. Cost of Living Adjustment Provided Employee remains employed and maintains satisfactory performance, Employee shall receive a minimum annual salary adjustment of three percent (3%) during the term of this Agreement unless otherwise modified by the General Manager or Board action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. INCENTIVE COMPENSATION Employee may be eligible to earn up to 10% of their base salary annually in performance bonuses. Unless otherwise required by law, bonuses are discretionary and contingent upon active employment on the payment date. Bonus Opportunities (Example based on assumed median annual compensation of $120,000)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A. Annual Service Bonus $5,000 payable on September 30 (End of Fiscal Year) of each year, after the first full year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">B. Budget Performance Bonus $2,500 if annual departmental operating expenses finish at or below budget while maintaining acceptable course conditions and service standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C. USGA Plan Implementation Bonus $2,500 Bonus if USGA Recommended sod farm is harvested and replanted in the fairways twice per year. $2,500 Bonus if USGA Recommended top dressing and over-seeding is done at least 18 times in the prior year. $2,500 Bonus if USGA Recommended 25+ significant trees are removed and all canopies are lifted 18\u2019 on at least 4 holes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">D. Member Satisfaction Bonus $5,000 if golf course conditions receive a combined rating of at least 65% &#8220;Above Average&#8221; or &#8220;Excellent&#8221; in the Club&#8217;s annual member survey. The General Manager shall determine achievement of bonus criteria subject to Board oversight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. BENEFITS Employee shall be eligible to participate in Club benefit programs offered to similarly situated management employees. Health Insurance The Club shall contribute seventy-five percent (75%) of the premium equivalent to the Kaiser Silver HMO plan for Employee and 50% of eligible dependents. Employee may elect alternative Kaiser or Healthnet Plans and pay any premium difference through payroll deduction. Available plans include: \u2022 Kaiser Permanente \u2022 Healthnet subject to carrier availability and Club benefit offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Retirement Plan Employee shall be eligible to participate in the Club&#8217;s 401(k) Plan in accordance with plan documents. The Club shall provide matching contributions up to $1,000 annually, subject to plan terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GCSAA Membership The Club shall reimburse:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 100% of annual GCSAA membership dues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Approved educational seminars, conferences, and trade shows up to $5,000 annually. Professional Education Time Employee may attend up to seven (7) workdays annually for approved educational programs without loss of compensation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Travel Reimbursement The Club shall reimburse up to $2,500 annually for approved travel expenses associated with professional education, subject to Club reimbursement policies and submission of receipts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7. EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT In accordance with California Labor Code Section 2802, the Club shall reimburse Employee for all reasonable and necessary business expenses incurred in the course and scope of employment. Fuel Allowance Employee shall receive a fuel allowance of: $2,500 annually Fuel charges made on club credit card with receipts turned in according to Club policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TOTAL POTENTIAL COMPENSATION &#8211; $171,000 ANNUALLY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">8. PAID TIME OFF Vacation Employee shall receive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Three (3) weeks of vacation annually after 120 days. Vacation accrual, carryover, and payout shall be governed by California law and the Club&#8217;s Employee Handbook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sick Leave Employee shall receive paid sick leave in accordance with California law and Club policy. Employee shall accrue one day per month up to a maximum accrual balance of nine (9) days, unless otherwise required by law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">9. MEALS Employee shall be entitled to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 One complimentary employee meal when working at least six (6) hours in a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Two complimentary employee meals when working ten (10) or more hours in a day. Subject to Club meal policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">10.
